Framework compatibility

The planet design system is based on the bootstrap framework and mainly provides an extension to the bootstrap CSS. For this reason a developer should be able to import the design system CSS files along side any framework that is compatible with bootstrap.

As the framework is now based on bootstrap 5 which uses ES6 for any component that uses javascript all the UI elements should work inside of any javascript framework by adding the bootstrap JS files. In some instances though, it may be useful to include a framework native version implementation of bootstrap that is compatible with your applications chosen framework. Some recommendations for this are listed below..

Angular
When using angular we recommend using the NG Bootstrap framework to provide angular native directives and components to create your applications UI elements.
NOTE: Support for bootstrap V5 is only supported by the current ng-bootstrap 11.0.0-beta.2 release. This version is almost production ready and can be imported to support V5 in your application until the final V11 release.
